The Ashanti School for the Deaf (ASFD) and Embik have agreed through exchange of letters to collaborate in sourcing sponsorship to give a three year training in vocational agriculture to the JHS students of the School to enable them settle back more productively into their traditional agriculture background after school to earn a more descent and independent lives.
Disabled persons in the community, in comparison with their non-disabled counterparts, have access to fewer supportive systems and resources. This programme is an attempt to improve the capacity and skills of the disabled and make their environment less restrictive and accommodating for their development and wellbeing.
